UX designer based in San Francisco
I like getting lost in the details and finding the balance between rules and originality. I enjoy the company of practical creatives and projects that help people navigate life.

Nitro PDF Pro - iPad & iPhone is a PDF editing mobile application. We redesigned the app to establish brand consistency across Nitro’s product offering, improve overall ease-of-use, align to new UX standards including Apple’s component system, and set up app infrastructure for future feature development.
I was responsible for the UX design from start to finish. I worked closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Research Operations to complete this project.

Nitro wanted to add free conversion tools to their website to attract new customers, provide product value for its users, and remain competitive in the market. Nitro owned multiple external sites that provided this exact feature, so this project would also allow the company to sunset these sites.
I was responsible for UX design, designing the product element as system components and completing the web page layout through close collaboration with Brand and Marketing.

GoNitro.com underwent a rebrand as well as a move to a CMS platform. In order to efficiently rebuild the website, I worked with a developer to design and QA the customization of out-of-the-box modules to new brand standards. This included design specifications for breakpoints for responsiveness and a multitude of color, font sizing, and layout variations to allow for design flexibility.
Through this process, I created a component library for the modules, which was used for the rebrand and in future web design projects.
The team was tasked with rebranding Nitro PDF Pro for Windows, Nitro’s lead desktop PDF editing software, without changing any functionality or structure. The company had just completed a rebrand of their website and wanted to create a consistent experience throughout the user’s journey. The project started in Spring and was completed in Fall of the same year.
I was responsible for the UX design, working closely with Product and Engineering to accomplish the rebrand. This project was largely an exercise on detail, requiring the creation of 200+ new icon assets.

The Nitro Design System was created to extend the impact of design and engineering efforts and unify the user experience across products. As a small team of 3 designers, 1 engineer, and 1 product manager, we were able to accomplish the foundation of the design system. Progress was championed by the design system team itself as each member had competing responsibilities set by the business. The team felt strongly that building a design system was necessary for the growth and improvement of product development and design at Nitro.
As Nitro ventured further into web product development, the Nitro Design System proved useful in UX unification and sped up the development process. Additionally, impact could be seen across all product design as this reinforced collaborative and transparent design and development. Changes to the Nitro Design System are ongoing.
